Sine sweep volume
I have two different CD players, the one in my toshiba laptop and an old Denon single disc, that won’t play sine sweeps at full volume. When I play track six (left ch short sine sweep) on my omnimic disc, the sound is nearly inaudible at almost full volume.
When I put the disc in a different denon - old multi disc player, the track plays just fine and plenty loud.
Has anybody else noticed this? Is there a feature or filter in these other units that doesn’t like the sweep for some reason? And can it be defeated?
