OT - Did any of you guys use any of that 19 gauge wire I gave you at InDIYana last year? I've wound a few smaller (0.30 mH and under) coils with it. Even though it was previously wound on those large frames it didn't have kinks to deal with. I'm still collecting those coils everytime our maintenance does a brake job on one of our many C-M hoists.
I've got an old dishwasher ready for the landfill with a surprisingly large motor in the bottom. Not sure its worth trying to scavenge the wire though, might be more work than its worth.
(upgraded to a Fisher & Paykel drawer dishwasher. Highly recommended, the drawers are the best and it's very very quiet.)
I tried a whilpool style dishwasher motor once. It look pretty easy but had several winding/ taps. After two days and 3 hours I cut the loops and scrapped it.
