Speaker selector switch made easy....

PE has a new 8 outlet power strip, with individual power switches. Seems to me it would not take much to place a group of D-Series 4-pole Speakons in the chassis for outs, place a Speakon cable-connector on the end where the plug was, and ignore the green ground wiring. Assuming this is a common-neutral design, a pair of these would allow you to switch out speakers to your heart's content; one for left channel, and one for right channel. They would be completely passive without power required.

That would be pretty easy to do.  My only concern would be the quality/consistancy of the contacts in those cheap rocker switches.  At low drive levels into low impedance loads (ie speakers at only a few Watts) contact to contact impedance differences could be significant.

I've taken more than a few power strips apart, they are generally miserable build quality.

These 4 channel relays work great for A/B switches and can be remotely controlled with a wifi smart switch.
If you think the build quality is bad you should look at the internals of a typical AVR.
