Pick up a cheaper wood steering wheel for the truck . I dont like the gap between the front and back of the wheel . Dont really want to use filler so my question is , has anyone seen thin strips of wood that I could possibly inlay in this gap? I measured a width of .15" and a depth of .12".

Most of the time wood is glued and pinned to metal. With a gap like that there is no way it was glued. You might consider filling the area with epoxy.
Set up a turn table and sander then turn the wood down to the metal...
Thought about that too.
Just Bling it up Baby!

MODS can remove thread . I found a solution using a strip of leather that fits damn near perfect as seen above.
Thanks all
Leather shoe lace?
Pretty much , I bought some leather strips for a knife build I did awhile back. Used some of the leather for the scales.
That could be a pretty interesting off-topic subject.
Copy that , noted for the next one
Do you use wood hardener on the scales?
I did not for that build but have use some stabilized scales on a build awhile back. I wont post any more on this post but will take this up on the off topic when I do another one . Cheers brothers be warm and safe.
