KYDIY 2025
Was talking with Jerry McNutt at the MWAF event and he asked about putting a KY gathering together. I agreed it has been awhile. He proposed to having it at Eminence Speakers. I also agreed, that would be a fantastic place to have it. So what do you guys think? What kinda date would fit in the schedule of things next year? Once we get something going, I'll post up over on the TechTalk board.

Hmm ... where in KY? Theme?
I'd almost certainly attend whenever it is. I think the fall gets pretty packed with SDC, CSS Detroit and DIY Iowa typically August, September, October. I'd prefer something 4 to 6 weeks before InDIYana or half way between InDIYana and SDC.
Eminence Speakers is located in Eminence, Kentucky - 40 miles east of Louisville, 80 miles south of Cincinnati.
CKY-DIY always used to be in November, usually the second weekend. It seemed to fit really well there.
JR usually has DIY-SDakota in June or July.
Edit, BTW- it was CKY for Central Kentucky, as KY has other meanings...
And, I'd be game for this November if it was set up there...

Usually, these are 5min house, 5 min your own music, but also fewer attendees so plenty of time. Other than that, I don't know what the theme would be.

I do have a pair of LAB-12s hanging from the rafters in the basement...but I'm not sure I'm up for an 8 hour drive.
No theme, just hanging out and listening to music. Maybe a tour of the place.
Might have time to finish up one of those never finished projects but it wouldn't have a pro driver. Very doubtful a new project would get finished by then, but should be able to supply plenty of spirits. What does everyone want?

So ... what does one need to bring to these meets?
Required: bring yourself
Optional: bring a speaker(s)
I'd say there are typically no requirements, but if ya don't bring your ears that would be quite a shame.
That, and I'm sure the "theme" above was more in jest than serious.
This year's theme: Dress as your favorite speaker brand.
