SDC 2024 test tracks

Is there somewhere where I can download the test tracks for SDC 2024?

Bummer. Am in conversation to devise a process / methodology for distortion testing of drivers (+/- crossovers) or complete speakers, using _ real music_ test tracks (15-30 seconds ideally)

Looking for music that is familiar/enjoyable for listening, as well as royalty free, such that we don't incur the wrath of the rights holders.

  • I might have a copy let me know which track those are.

John H, btw forum has decided I don't get emails

    John, Ben and Steve:

Soon we'll be able to measure our speakers with the same music that we listen to.

    Have a look at this:

  • TK,
I am particularly interested in the ability to "hear" the actual distortions alone as with my last drum mix I suspect that my snare frequencies and those of the reference track are not always complimentary, causing some cancellations/distortions.

If I could hear this effect alone (isolated) from the mix then I could adjust my snare's frequency curve to eliminate these negative acoustic effects.

  • Steve, Have you ever seen the Klippel Listening Test that A/B tests audibility of distortion? You can use test tones or music (although you can't select your OWN music).

  • lol that was fun. Got down to -30db, but ended on -27db just using a jabra headset.

    David,
No - I had not seen or heard of this demo before - bookmarked now (got guests coming tomorrow and trying to get the place presentable/grass cut).
    Thanks, man!

    @Steve_Lee

That’s actually a simulation, based on some mathematical models that are about 20 years old

With FSAF, you can record up to a minute of music (eg your drum tracks) in the far-field (mic > 2x baffle width) and then listen to the distortion residual.

  • Sign me up, Thanh!

  • FSAF is free for everyone to use since June, just download latest REW beta.

I'm not deaf, I'm just not listening.
