Yung bass boost removal

edited December 1 in DIY

I feel like there was a simple answer to this back in the day on pett but I can’t find it. Curious if anyone here knows how..

I have a Yung sd300-6 plate amp which is the non-defeatable 6db boost version. IIRC it is created by a HPF at 30hz with a Q of 2.0, creating a high pass and 6db bump at the same time. I also seem to remember this was done with a few resistors on the board somehow.

I am looking to defeat the boost/hpf so it would be the same as the sd300 non boosted. Does anybody remember or know how to do this, or perhaps have schematics of the two amps where I could compare and just find the added eq circuitry? I assume it would be the same for any size Yung, not just the 300.

As always, thank you.
