So I have a question . This receiver has two pairs of outs ( front / rear)  on the back of the deck. No sub out. Can one come off the " rear" RCA outs and branch off to a splitter that would allow L/R to the deck lid speakers and the other L/R to a sub via a sepparate amp ? The only reason I ask , is that when you run the rear RCA's you have to disable the rear channel to run the rear RCA outs

Sure, you can. You just don't get separate sub level control unless the sub amp has remote control

Looks like a nice amp Nick.  I can't believe how affordable watts are these days.  Back in the day that would have been a $1000 amp. Soundstream used to be one of the top sound quality amps, along with ADS, and a few others.  I assume Soundstreama is still good.

Zapco is one of my top picks. NVX and Massive Audio seem to be solid as well. JL Audio is good if you can stand the price. 

There are a few others as well. I will post a list of what I've seen lately

Way back when I was into car audio Soundstream, Precision Power (PPI), Rockford Fosgate, Hifonics, JL Audio, AudioControl,  and MB Quart were king.

Ah yes the good old days! I had plenty of gear from Eclipse, US Amps, JL, and Image Dynamics. All brands I would add to the “good stuff” list in their day.

I still have my Xtant 3150C with balanced input cards, and Soundstream EXACT10 pair, along with the Kenwood KDC-715X headunit.

If I spent more time in my daily driver I would use all my old school gear plus new stuff and build a killer system...  but work is only 10 minutes away and jammin Go Noodles on the weekends with the kids doesn't require 120+ dB.
