Poly Fill

I'm trying to locate a decent polyfill.
I purchased some a few years ago but found that it was in small bunches in the bag. This was hard to control in the cab.

  • Natur-Fil Bamboo/poly 50/50 blend. I love this stuff!

If not that, then look for the 'Premium' Poly-Fil, or the "flowery-named" Premium one (M_____, mind slip). The regular poly-Fil is more for aperiodic air flow, and not as dense.

  • You need to pull apart the small bunches into puffy piles. I like to contain my stuffing in polyester or wool batting pouches. you can see an example in my center channel posting

John H, btw forum has decided I don't get emails
  • John, that is very neatly contained!

  • Go to Walmart and buy the biggest cheapest pillows you can find. I got jumbo size for CAD$5 and the stuffing was decent.

I'm not deaf, I'm just not listening.

    This one?

  • Apparently there are 2 forms of 'Premium' then. That is the consistency I do not care for unless using in completely-stuffed vented boxes or for aperiodic purposes. Look for a whiter-color in Poly-Fil brand. Avoid the Ultra-loft and siliconized coated stuff.

I have used the Crafter's Choice Poly-Fil and liked it, and it's more similar to Acousti-Stuf as there are crimpings in it. I'm certain there is a whiter Premium Poly-fil that is not the 'original' stuff. If you want to avoid the possible inferior Poly-Fil brand stuff, just get the Morning Glory brand. Just don't get the 'Cluster Stuff'.

I did not shrink the resolution on this photo, as I think it is important to see it:
