Hello from Oz
I've been using and enjoying this Forum for a few years, but for the past two weeks I keep getting a message from my Kaspersky Anti-Virus that this site's certificate 'isn't valid' and it keeps bouncing me around various dialog boxes saying the site is 'untrustworthy'.
I'm sure that's not the case, so I click 'continue anyway' and usually that works. This morning for some reason it kept going around in circles, leading to many swear words. The messages kept appearing when I tried to reply to messages or post something in a thread.
Anyone else have the same problem, please? There's no provision in the anti-virus program to say 'trust this site'
Thank you
Geoff

Ask your antivirus provider how to do so in the support site, Geoff --> https://support.kaspersky.com/
Uninstall the anti-virus software and the problem will go away.
Firefox says the site certificate is valid until Dec 24.
Sounds like the virus definitions/suspect site-lists are out of date.
FYI - I use Eset-NOD Antivirus for the past 15+ years without any issues and it an Aussie based company - check them out Geoff --> https://www.eset.com/us/home/antivirus/?utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=_us_b2c_Bing_eng_Search_b_gen_revenue_do-exact-2022-maxclick&adgroupname=ESET+NOD32&keyword=eset nod&matchtype=e&creative=&network=&networkcategory=[search]&device=c&&utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=_us_b2c_Bing_eng_Search_b_gen_revenue_do-exact-2022-maxclick&utm_term=eset nod&utm_content=ESET NOD32&gclsrc=ds&gclsrc=ds
Thank you all for your comments and suggestions, I'll take the issue up with Kaspersky; I still have a year of subscription so will think about Steve's suggestion, didn't know they were an Oz company!
In the meantime, if I'm slow at responding to anyone, apologies
Geoff
I tried that, and success! I was able to add it to 'trusted sites'.
Thank you for the suggestion!
Geoff
What "Oz Forums" are you talking about, sir?
Also, which forum are you having trouble-with concerning its certificate validation?
Inquiring minds want to know in order to help you.
That user logged in with the same IP address as a previous (now deleted) bot. Poof.
I had my suspicions - now confirmed.
Thanks.
