As you've probably seen in the Drewsbrew's 830855 thread I think these buyout tweeters sound pretty darn good, especially for their price. Better sounding than any Dayton tweeter (sans the original RS28A) I've heard.
The obvious down sides are: they are not round so they require a rebate template to flush mount and they need to cross over around 2800 Hz or higher. Other than that they could kick some tail paired with those Dayton TCP115 woofers or the 830855 Peerless woofers. I have high hopes for the little 4" Peerless drivers because I didn't love those Dayton TCP's all that much. Yeah they made impressive bass but their midrange was kinda murky...

Cool you took the time to modify one but results are very minimal. These buyout look they could be a good candidate for the ceos-6.

I really like what the 830855 do in my Bottleships. Capable little boogers....
