Until then I'll try this combo.
Well, definitely don't change your plans BECAUSE of me. But your combo above looks nice too.
I made a small order yesterday and did need about $30 to get to free shipping, and it took all my will power not to get a pair of those Peerless. But I just kept reminding myself that they'd probably sit on a shelf for two years and I'd be selling them at Iowa 2025.

Too late Now I don't get to feel bad. ehehe
I was hoping to do a compact sealed design and completely forgot about the peerless until it went on sale the day after I picked up the Dayton parts. No biggie. More builds so I can compare designs and figure out what I like better. Hopefully I don't just end up wishing I had these big blue ones back... They go to their forever home Saturday
Fits a Peerless TC9 perfectly. The screw holes even line up almost exactly (maybe a fraction of a mm off). I figured this would allow a simple round recess cutout to be made and the trim ring would then sit flush with the baffle covering up the resulting ugliness underneath. Should also work well with other 3" drivers with a similar surround diameter.
Without the grill, the inner portion of the ring is not so well finished. The one pictured even has some spots where the plastic did not fully fill the mold.. such as on the left where one of the two the grill tabs get inserted. Should still function fine though.

Your will is strong young Skywalker
But can you resist the power of the dark side?
Do or do not, there is no try.

I posted these over on the other build thread, but thought I'd put them here in order to keep the info more centralized.
