More than likely the min voltage question has been posted- sorry I didn't see it. I do see Mouser offers orange drops caps in both 100v and 200v, with the 100v versions in .82uF and 1uF capacitance. The 200v max is .68uF.
I'm a bit curious biz tube amp aficionados seem to be smitten, but it may be because they impart a tone, or are they just really good? Paralleling could get to very close matching tolerances, and they are alum foil design (and, I understand that even in parallel I should just look at the voltage of one capacitor). I haven't seen anyone use these in their tw HP filters, so that may be my answer in and of itself, but I thought I'd ask. -thanks

Orange drops?
Most Orange drops are 600V
Probably the very small values- I ran for the larger ones - as for a 3rd order Iād be looking at 1.9 to 2.2uF for C1, and 6 to 6.8uF for C2 (and that may be paralleling 6 to 10 caps on the top end).
Yes, sorry
People like Orange Drop capacitors because of the placebo effect.

Who doesn't like saying Orange Drop instead of capacitor? š
I have some. I salvaged them many years ago. Just cant seem to throw them away
I used some Orange Drops as coupling caps in a tube amp. Switched them out in favor of some Audyn Q4's. The Audyns where sonically better IMHO. But these were small values, like 0.22 uF or 0.33 uF IIRC.
One way to find out I guess. I currently have a celestion coax with a hp using Jantzen Silvers, so I can just order a bunch of O Drops and duplicate the filter and measure and listen. Probably going with the 200v 715p or 716p.
Additional question: When looking at PIO caps, metalized vs foil (the metalized are 250v, the foils 200v, which I do not think should make much of a difference for tw HP).
Thx
