Ah, the weekly "why isn't my DATS doing right" post . Check that its set to 2ch, 48kHz, check the levels etc.
I'll go the other way from JR and say, stop fucking around with DATS, solder some wires to a resistor, then use ARTA, REW, SE, etc and never look back.
You don’t really need the disc, the software wan be downloaded for free on the Dayton Audio website. I think the have both the original version and newest version.
I guess I'm one of the rare lucky ones. I have an old version of the WT3 hardware and it has always worked very well for me. Even across several different laptops. Then I swiped Mike's DATS disc and everything went to hell.
It is an LCR meter only, but it accurately measures DCR, ESR, and a couple other things that the soundcard based systems have issues with. Pretty slick device, actually.
