New speaker measurement turntable
in DIY
I just started this new larger measurement turntable. I have a small one that I built several years ago, but this one will be able to accommodate an 18" deep speaker or stand without it hanging off the back. Just the beginning right now.

Gave it a coat of shellac to seal it before I paint under the protractor, white for better visibility.
I mounted a set of casters in the rear under the aluminum to help support large and or heavy speakers.
This is the adapter I made for wider or deeper speakers.
What type of bearing are you using for the pivot?
Bill, it's a 9" lazy susan bearing made by Triangle #18531. I bought it from Rockler and it's rated for #750.
I want to see that 750lbs speaker!
Actually I had considered making some concrete enclosures, but every time I move the 200 pounders that I have right now, makes me place the concrete jobbies permanently on the back burner.
Hempcrete would be much lighter. Just sayin'.

I recently visited a small building made with aircrete. The blocks were incredible! They weighed about 6 LBS versus a pure concret block would have weighed 50 LBS. Try aircrete!
