I'm sorry to be so blunt in this comment but... Crikey, that frequency response plot looks horrible above 1k Hz. There is a massive amount of beaming going on above 5k or 6kHz, so the sweet spot will be teeny tiny. Also the distortion plot shows the level to be above 1% for all frequencies above 200Hz with some peaks of up to about 10% distortion. TBH, this screams $9 driver more than $999 driver.
Yeah, if you’re anywhere outside the 0 to 5° the responses falls off. yeah the distortion graph really disappointed me. I figured they’d be much better than that. I’ve seen some GRS drivers have better distortion plot, then that.
If it makes you feel better, I have probably wasted over $1000 on cheap AliExpress class-D amp boards, class-AB amp kits, DAC kits, and power supplies (not all at once, but over a period of about 2-3-4 years). Much of it ended up at my local electronics recycling center. Now I just say "no thanks". Been burned too many times by mismatched specs or dead boards. I even had one catch fire on me one time! Luckily it was not yet built into a speaker cabinet...

So if you see these on eBay for sale, mind your own damn business lol
I have a hunch that if you post it for sale over at DIYaudio and say it is perfect match for First Watt amps you will sell them in a flash. That site is crawling with full range fanatics who would love to get their hands on these. Make sure to link to the MFG page. You can say you imported them and tested them for functionality only!
I have some measurements, but it seems I need to measure at over 100db as most of the distortion is below the noise floor. In-room response in 1.15cf enclosure with 2"x4"long port. BSC and a 5khz notch to tame a hump.
So all this measuring sparked some old interest. Most of you might remember back a few years ago I made a lot of my own‘s Speakers I figured I would dig those out and measure them again I remember making one with a copper cap on the pole and a pretty light con but the FS was not very low and I was going to use those as a mid range in my 21 inch openbaffle‘s and just never got around to it so I figured I would measure here’s the results.
@tktran has measurements and thinks these are about the best midranges out there. Here is just SPL of B&W FST vs Purifi. I recently bought a pair of the "old" (2017) version on the cheap on eBay but won't get to measuring them anytime soon. https://diy.midwestaudio.club/discussion/comment/38331/#Comment_38331

For shits and giggles I’m gonna measure the other one too, and just make sure they’re both garbage and not just one.

Anyone have HD/IMD plots for them?
Thank you, I would call that a much better speaker
Lower distortion, better pattern above 1kHz, and much, much cheaper!!!

Just links to not muddy up the thread too much:

Some folks heard it over at InDIYana earlier that Friday, but thinking back, it needed to be elevated to center at ear level to really do it justice.
I'd love to see someone else's results to confirm, as my measurements kinda seem too good to be true for a $60 wideband.
Here is measurements for SB over at diyaudio:

I saw the Ebay listing...good for you.
At least it was good for someone.
The moral of the story here is. Lii Audio is a Lie Audio.

The B&W stuff is pretty good. Have you seen this thread at PETT https://techtalk.parts-express.com/forum/tech-talk-forum/1497580-fun-with-fst-build-thread
Thanks John. No measurements? How does he know there worth the effort?
