I lifted the top octave with a cap across the series resistor, then it's just tilt of the response in total.

Second speaker completed, now I need to finish the grilles. Moved them into the living room and they sound great.

I often joked about possibly having to do that for gear and speaker protection before I had kids. My verbiage usually was a chain link fence.
Looks like an altar to diffraction . . .
The little guy does a good job not playing with dad's toys, but a little deterrence helps. There are hopes for a dedicated project/listening space in the future, but for now the gear is in audio Alcatraz.
