  • I just ordered a pair of the SB racetrack woofers from Madisound. Cant beat the $34 price to give them a shot.

Can't say I have not thought about it. They sounded great in Todd/flipsnshyt's towers in August. Look funny a bit in long throw though, getting narrower under longer forward throws.

However, since I jumped on the October sale at Solen for the E160CF8, I likely should not.

Considered one of the SB berylliums but just cant bring self to drop the money - any familiarity with the the lower priced small format one?

Really want a 3d printer (thinking Bambu Lab P1S)

Is a 2.5 way 'wasteful'? I generally like 3 ways, but seeing the titan 6 on sale, own set of titan 7's and the 27tac. Consider chamber for 6 and tweet, minimal baffle comp, just get proper mid band respond then the 7 in own chamber to boost the low end. Again something I could just do 'someday' and no need to burn money

  • Menards:

Typical thick glass bar/restaurant style. Stock you home pub then buy shelving boards with the rebate!

  • DAW plug-in's on Sale --> https://www.waves.com/specials#sort:path~type~order=.default-order~number~asc|views:view=grid-view|paging:currentPage=0|paging:number=18

This one was brought to my attention (but I would rather learn how to use a compressor more effectively) --> https://www.waves.com/plugins/idx-intelligent-dynamics

  • Cyber Monday sucking b**** - I've not been compelled to buy anything, except some stuff from Mouser, which never on sale, to build some things with all the PTO I'm using this month. Ha, proud of myself.

At least going well for company I work for (ecommerce systems coder) which impacts incentive comp :)

  • I got a Blink video door bell / security cam bundle - normal price $300, Cyber Monday = $112

But Chahly - Stahkist don't want speakers that look good, Stahkist wants speakers that sound good!
  • I've been looking at unlocked Google Pixel 7, 8, and 9 pro models. Thinking of getting one to use as a camera only, without sim card. There are some deals out there, but prices are still too high. And I can only find availability & discounts for models limited to 128GB of internal storage memory. Newer phones have eliminated the use of an internal micro SD card to add additional storage!

I have a Pixel 8 and I can plug in a USB C flash drive and offload all my photos to it. You can get 256Gb flash drives relatively cheap. Not the same as internal storage but it would be one way to free up space on the phone. Another thing you should know is that almost all of the pictures on my phone are between and 1-10Mb with the largest being 20Mb.

  • Thanks for the info and links. I'll scope this out and see what I can come up with. Sad that the phone companies have decided to restrict internal memory like this.

Thanks for that link. I was out of storage on my iphone 128g, so I just upgraded to a newer model and 512g for a very reasonable price.

I’ve been wanting to play around with those little tectonic bmr drivers for awhile. The 2” are $7.98 ea. at PE, down to $6.70 quantity 4 or more. With the THANKS24 15% code, $5.70 each. So I got 14 and a few other odds and ends toget free shipping.

I got some to play around with. I've been eyeballing em for a while too. Might pair with the 8"DVC buyout woofers. Craig's current experiments have me thinking.

They tiny! The main body, excluding the screw hole bumps, is a hair over 2". The effective cone diameter is roughly 1.5". The mounting flange is so slim the screw holes are pretty much at the edge of where a cutout would be for front mounting, so unless you do some tricks with the opening, it seems like rear mounting is the ticket. I'm contemplating rear mounting to a larger flange/plate so it is easier to work into a cabinet.

  • Yeah, those make TC9s look beefy. ;)

  • Tiny indeed! I mean, yeah, it’s a 2” driver. But I admit I was not prepared- I checked to make sure I had not ordered the 1-1/8” by mistake. But yes, the main body is a hair over 2”.
