Well, the measurements are nothing to write home about. The red and pink at top is 0° red being the modified one. The blue and black is 60° the blue being the modified one.
I'd say that is a decent improvement off-axis. And interesting how it fills out the bottom end a bit too.
Thanks for trying. This all seems to confirm for me it should hopefully work out with the MAC-06 ok. Though probably resulting with the typical impedance mountain to taper off the waveguide boost.
PE has SO MANY buyout drivers that I've figured there's probably some gems in there. But none have been interesting enough for me to be the first mover. Pretty sure pwrryd was the first to take a chance on those $5 JDT tweeters.

Love those buyout tests. Every other month I go through the buyouts and dream up a line array design.
I’m going to redo the test on the buyouts now that I have figured out The mic sensitivity. As I wait for a new mic to show up, I’ll repost them then the sensitivity should be what they’re supposed to be.

Nothing a little PEQ can't handle . . .
Is that the thing with turning knobs?

Something like that, yes. Faster than replacing discrete components/instant feedback - save the file and smile.
I love my set of Freud carbide hole saws!

I used something similar from a TV module. Hope they measure decent
I’ll test those tweeters after lunch. But I did get a chance to test some other buyout I got.

3rd order HD is really very low. An array of these might be nice. Sheesh - less than $50 for a dozen....

Pretty good slug of I believe is neo in there.

Brad, are you doing all of your testing at the same drive level, ie 2.83 Vrms or something else?
Yes 2.83, I also move the mic to 315mm to get a better read on distortion. You see something I need to address.?

Looks more like 0.283V given the SPL, hence my previous comments in the IEC baffle thread.
Are those dents in the pole piece/slug from you beating them apart or from the manufacturer beating them in?
From me.

Damnit I keep getting tempted to do a buyout build and you are definitely not helping!
Kinda sucks that those 3"ers would require back mounting. Beggars can't be choosey though.
Yeah, but 12 a side array would have an awesome dynamic presence!

The ND PR is a nice match to the Sig Series.

A small rabbit hole I fell in late this afternoon. I’m covering it up. I’m over it.

Nice try sir. Could you glue some wood blocks under those mounting tabs and make the recess a little shallower?
I like where this is headed . . .
I don’t mind the mid mount. Thinking the tweeter might need be front mounted. It has good off axis FR anyway.
