Well yes, sort of. The Tang Band W5-1138SM are not very sensitive at all. They will play pretty low in a not so big of an enclosure but need a lot of power. So basically no need for the TC10 that are really sensitive for such a small driver. I have way more TC9's on my shelf than I need and love how theu sound. I also have some really good small format tweeters that can play low enough to pull off a hybrid OB project.
Given the age of these buyouts, I worry about cone sag but I am still tempted. However, given that my current situation is exacerbated by an utter devastation of my companies revenue and a 20% paycut we are taking in order to get and stem the hemorrhage of cash - I'll pass. My birthday is in June, I accept early gifts of a pair of the 10" and six of the 16 ohm round frame 7", however.
The D26 also doesn't appear to be glued to the faceplate like the BC25, instead the tweeter is clamped to the faceplate, making a faceplate replacement, waveguide installation, or installing it directly to the baffle a viable option.
What is the midrange? You're looking for a small format tweeter, or is standard 104mm okay? Stretch your budget to $27 and the DA25 is a bargain for a large format tweeter. NE25 is a good small format tweeter, but I might steer clear from ordering that from PE as they've had nothing but issues shipping those, too many horror stories of people receiving damaged parts that were essentially tossed loose in a ziplock bag for shipping. Haven't heard of shipping issues with those from other vendors.
BC25 will certainly do the trick, it's one of the okayest tweeters available, and the price is right.
If your mid is a wide band 4-5", you are on a budget, and you are not not targeting high sensitivity, that little Peerless 3/4" is all of $8 right now.
Need to add a few more items for free s&h and wanted to bounce this off you guys. As I am now unemployed, money is a concern.
To mate with the 299-320 4" and dynalab v22 buyouts in a 3-way. That 4" should be good to 4k, right?
A lot of PE's stuff is out of stock. The nd25fa, nd20fa, dx20bf, dc28f, dx20bf, are out of stock. nd16fa, nd13fa, nd25ta, bc25tg, dx25tg, nh25ti&f, nhp25ti&f, nd28f ($24), ne25 ($28), bc25sc55/06/tg15/, are in stock. Haven't heard anything about the nh and nhp.
What about the ptmini6 ribbon 275-083?
And yea, I've experienced PE's throw it in a box and ship it krap.
Isn't ND25 just a BC25 with a Dayton sticker on it? On the plus side, you can get it without faceplate or with a waveguide which is real nice, I wish those options existed on more high end units.

A tower with 3x 7" drivers would be badass.

You are welcome.
Think I will resist the "vifa/scans" - but the MB Quart tweeter looks nice. Anybody heard/tested those?

I prefer this one:

I have used it as low as 1800 with impedance comp, I used a L-Pad.
It is a better tweeter, though.
